The PlayStation 5 Pro has been making headlines among gamers in India after reports surfaced that the console was registered with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on 9 March 2026. Since BIS certification is typically one of the final steps before a product officially launches in the country, this development has naturally sparked speculation about the console’s India release timeline.
While trying to gather insights from potential Sony PlayStation retailers across India, I spoke with one of my most trusted sources, an official PlayStation-authorized retailer who also helped me secure my PlayStation 5 on Day 1. According to them, April is being discussed as a potential launch window for the PS5 Pro in India. No pricing has been shared yet.
That said, it’s important not to take this information at face value. At this stage, it remains speculation rather than confirmation. Interestingly, I also came across a discussion thread on Reddit where another user suggested that April could indeed be the month when the console launches in India, which adds a bit more intrigue to the rumor.
As a gamer and someone who closely follows the PlayStation ecosystem, I felt it was worth sharing this information with fellow readers. If the speculation turns out to be accurate, those waiting for an official Indian unit of the PS5 Pro may only need to wait a few more weeks before experiencing the next generation of PlayStation performance, potentially powered by technologies like PSSR 2.0.
Peace & Always Stay To The Point!
