Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Is it different?

Assassins Creed Valhalla is the unorthodox RPG Assassins Creed like AC Origins and Odyssey. It consists of a story of a Norse warrior named Eivor, who can be both male and female and he/she sets out to seek get back the honour of his/her family that was once lost.

The game, hmm is a bit different. I say this because the progression is not like the traditional levelling up and kicking ass stuff. Now, it has a power system. I know the people who have not played Valhalla might be thinking “What is Power System?”. Do not worry, check the next paragraph.

The “power system” in Assassins Creed Valhalla is basically a “system” in which you get power by spending skill points on a humongous skill tree. The number of skill point you spend is the amount of power you have and, the best thing is that you can reset individual skills or even reset the whole skill tree and spend your skill points on different skills.

The side quests are also different. The side quests now consist of “Mysteries”, “Wealth” and “Artifact”. It also consists of other activities like playing a dice game, a rhyming game, and many others that the player, after winning can earn useful rewards. The rhyming battle, also known as Flyting, can help the player earn charisma, which unlocks dialog options. The side quests mentioned are based on power of different areas, that the player needs to reach to successfully complete the quests to earn skill points, better gear, and abilities. The side quests can be completed either by moving on foot, going on horseback or by raiding enemy outposts by your longship, which is simply a long boat.

The main difference about the game is that all the assassinations in the game are not part of the main story. There are some major assassinations that take part in the main story, obviously as it is an Assassins Creed game, but not all. The rest you will get to know when you start playing the game.

I am just a few hours into the game, but I can tell that it is mainly like the Origins types Assassins Creed, but it still manages to stand out. The only thing I can say about the game is that it is definitely better than Origins and Odyssey.
